"The Franchize is one of Indy's hottest acts...In past generations, musicians who wanted to break out of the mold created a new genre or updated an old one...For today's artists, most of the old-dog genres are tricked out. To do something unique...The Franchize has grabbed onto hip-hop, rock and funk to make its sonic mixed drink." - Intake Weekly

Bio
The Franchize is a five-piece band based out of Indianapolis that seamlessly blends the sounds of hip-hop, rock and funk. The band is made up of Ian Titus (bass guitar), Ryan Russell (lead guitar), Nate Davis (vocalist/emcee), Mark Steele (DJ), and Mark Davis(drums). The Franchize provides a unique musical experience that has already gained a reputation as “one of the hottest acts in Indianapolis” (see Intake article).
With years of individual experience behind them, the band has quickly been able to become a regular on the Indianapolis music scene. Weekly performances on the Broad Ripple strip, Downtown, and at larger events such as The Taste of Broad Ripple, Jammin’ on Walnut, and a show with Nappy Roots and Avant, have helped The Franchize gain a strong local following.
This exciting, “up and coming”, group has found a diverse and energetic fan base, and shown their ability to win over a crowd by combining their high-energy original material with remixes of classic rock, Motown and hip-hop numbers. This range of musical versatility is the reason The Franchize has been able to play alongside rock acts, hip-hop acts, and DJ acts alike. Regardless of whom they play with, their music, energy, and showmanship create a memorable musical experience that leaves audiences wanting more.
With plans in the works for an upcoming promotional tour of the Midwest and the release of the group’s highly anticipated debut album, there doesn’t seem to be any signs of The Franchize slowing down.
