Bio
When Benjamin Pritchard split from Hardcore Punk Rock group Mutant Militia he never thought in a million years he would link up with Guitarist Christopher Delaney from former Emo-core project and arch-rival, Rajeana. The 2 colaberated for years on music and later became good friends eventually starting the band that would lead to The Frantic Vim. Formed in December of 2003, the beginnings of the band's music were still deeply rooted in their musical pasts. Writing numerous punk and indie influenced songs just wasn't cutting it for the two. They sought to aquire musicians with a wider range of musical abilities and soon dropped all of their former band mates and were joined by new ones.
Kyle Rowland, a freelance drummer from Columbia, MO with a wide range of drumming capabilities including jazz and salsa, joined. Jared Powell, formerly of the well known Jeff City band; Sidewalk Chalk, joined as the second guitarist. And finally Ryan Bowman joined on bass, former lead singer of Rajeana survivors- Shooting April. The bands influences can be heard in their music easily; Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Thursday, etc.. Elements of all these bands can be heard. Their energetic live shows are nothing short of amazing. Nothing is predictable about this band's music or performance. The one thing that is sure, is that they draw a crowd and put on a great show.
