The Fruit Group?

BandAlternativeRock

The Fruit Group? make wonky, danceable guitar music. They love melody and simple pop-fuzz as much as they love dischord and clumsy noise. They often mix these up. Their drummer is excellent.

Biography

The Fruit Group? is a 3-piece band from the East Kent seaside haven that is Herne Bay. They first played together when the newly returned Ally became the 1,000th member of The Boxing Octopus, though Ally and Alexis first met at Sea Scouts. Stavros is Alexis' brother, younger and more athletic - that makes him an EXCELLENT drummer. They are both Greek-Cypriot.

Alexis writes brilliant songs in minutes, and Ally likes covering them up with reverb and distortion, especially his own voice. I think they both write great music together because they play completely differently, and neither is a 'proper' bass player. Stavros' drumming is always EXCELLENT.

Their songs will surprise you, and probably make you dance. Though they themselves cannot dance.
