Bio
Two band members also blood brothers grew up in a single parent household in the harsh environment of the urban southern city of Charlotte NC. They were heavily influenced by their mother a soul/funk singer who was deeply rooted in the music scene of the 70s and early 80s. The older brother of Futureshock, Boy Floyd, played a toy lead guitar over princes purple rain on the top of a picnic table at a family reunion in Chicago at the tender age of 3. Ironically, Jeremy Daniels the younger brother who was born 3 days later ends up being the guitarist of Futureshock. He must have heard the electric vibrations from the music through his mothers womb. The duo relocated to Atlanta GA in 2006 on a journey to make it in the music business. They actually packed up a U-Haul and slept in it for 3 days until they landed a gig at a car wash an apartment in College Park soon followed. To create their music buzz they decided to throw their own parties, host them and perform along with other underground acts. Their sound is Punk Funk a term giving to them by a crazy fan while exiting the stage of a local Atlanta show. I guess that sound grew from music that was instilled in them at an early age. They grew up listening to Southern Gospel, Prince of course (the family favorite), Cameo, The Gap Band, the Ghetto Boys, Gangstar, Parliament Funkadelic, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry. The debut EP Kinetic Rhythm Energy is scheduled to be released from their own indie imprint called Grinder at the top of 09.
