Bio
The Futures League formed in March 2012 bringing together Jon Arman (guitar, vocals) Jack Rose (lead guitar) and John Fontana (drums). They got together after meeting each other while surfing down in Dana Point, Ca. Rose and Arman had been working on music together and after discovering that Fontana played drums they asked him to join in for a jam one day. The jam session gave birth to The Futures League.
Influences range from the 1940's all the way to current times with artists like Muddy Waters, The Rollings Stones, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, The Strokes, Ty Segall and The Oh Sees. These influences can be heard in the Futures League Debut EP released Nov. 20th. The 5 that take you through a soundscape that at times is funky, at times its twangy, at times furious and at times its mellow, but its always The Futures League.
