Bio

In 1998, Andy Hoggarth, Brad Jackman and Tom Hendrickson were all in a band that needed a name. They threw a party and held a "name the band" contest. Rod Moody, who Tom had played with previously, offered up "Humptulips," and unbelievably won the contest. Humptulips didn't last very long before all three quit and contacted Rod about starting a new band. It was an interesting mix of fellas; Rod had fronted Sub Pop grunge pioneers Swallow in the late '80s, Brad was in SoCal punk legend (Adolescents) Rikk Agnew's Yard Sale, Tom was in Seattle favorites Bam Bam and Runaway Trains, and Andy played mainly country. The four of them worked up a mix of gritty, Stonesy rock, classic punk and a bit of twang which stuck, and they were off and running until 2001 when Rod moved to the East Coast. He returned in 2005 and the band promptly picked up where they left off - but with better songs and a renewed focus. Their upcoming CD, "Fun Forest," featuring slices of ferocious punk, shards of psychobilly, doses of straight-up rawk and glimpses of melodic pop, drops in March. Shows with Agent Orange, Gary Myrick & the Figures and Rikk Agnew are on the calendar, and their no-nonsense, electrifying live shows are quickly becoming the talk o' the town. They are the Fuzz. Don't be left behind.
