The Gambling District

Rising out of the still waters of Brown County Ohio, The Gambling District formed in 2005. The band began creating intimate and energetic songs that people could relate to. Coming from a vast variety of musical backgrounds and influences such as Jimmy Eat World, Jim Croce, Queen, My Morning Jacket, Bob Dylan, and this allowed The Gambling District to find a unique sound to call their own. Consisting of melodic tempos, passionate lyrics, and innovative song writing, they blend soul and rock into one unique experience. Recently, we have been building a mainstay fan base in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. As well, we have established a strong presence in the Cincinnati local music scene.

We have had the privilege of performing with national bands such as: Lovedrug(Columbia Records), The Audition(Victory Records), The Spill Canvas(111 Records), and The Whigs(ATO Records). We worked our way to the finals of one of the countries largest independent music festivals, Emergenza. Independently, we originated a seven song demo to raise money for studio time at Jordan’s Recording Studio in Covington, KY and The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH, where we produced and completed our four track CD. Aside from the band, we all are taking time to work our way through college and our lives. Noah is attending the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music and working construction to pay the bills. Steven is attending Brown Mackie College and working at Willis Music store. Dave is attending the University of Cincinnati and working at the local airport, where he hopes to one day join the mile high club. Joe Dunlap plays college soccer and is a lifeguard at the pool, where he dreams of one day becoming the next member of Hellogoodbye. This December, TGD will be releasing their first EP and hitting the road. We would love to come to your town and sleep on your floors. Rock and Roll our good friends, its all about the Rock and Roll.
