The Garuud Effekt (pronounced Gah roozh like Moulin Rouge) is the project of Singer/Songwriter, Marti Christopher. Its purpose is to assist the evolution of mankind through its most redeemable quality, its limitless creativity. Musical influences range from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, U2, & Bob Marley to Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Police, The Strokes, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More, Radiohead & Rage Against the Machine. A Toronto native, Marti currently resides in Denver, Colorado where he pursues the creation of melodious splendor and dreams of a world without boy bands and reality TV.
