The GCDC gang made it to the Mariposa Showcase in April !!!!
That's a big deal here in Ontario. We were one of only 10 acts who got an invite. So we're very proud of that accompishment. Now, we didn't get selected for the July performance at the festival, but that's OK. We sold a bunch of CD's, made some new fans and friends and had a great time. Thanks Orillia !!!

the GCDC gang is the greatest band in the world. end of bio.

You wanna know more? OK. We combine roots, ragtime, rock, folk, country, blues, jazz and everything else that we like.
GCDCs unique "mixed-bag stringband" sound is fun for everyone.

And if you like great harmonies you'll love the GCDC gang.

You still reading? Well then here's some additional info.
OK, the GCDC gang was started a few years ago by James MacKay and John Marlatt (aka Earl Grey). John has recently dropped out to concentrate on supporting indie music in Oakville. We'll continue to include his songs in our sets though.

K-MACK, Ricky Joe and Warren Musak were also original members. Warren left to start Sweetgrass with his sweetie Amanda Brewer. Paul Dante (Craw Ditty) joined the following year.

The gang is also very active in promoting indie music, by running open mics and jams at both the Moonshine Cafe and the Pic-a-deli as well as organizing Oakville's best "battle of the bands"

the GCDC gang has performed at the Oakville Waterfront Festival, Just Plain Folks, Bronte Harbourfront Festival, The Moonshine Cafe, Winterfolk (as Kid James and the Outlaw Ricky Joe), the Velvet Elvis, and numerous fund raisers and charity events.

With all the band members being individual singer/songwriters you can also catch us doing solo gigs, duo's, and the electric band "Picadelica".

Thanks to our families and friends for all of their support.
