Biography

Geron Tate, born, raised and representing Columbus, Ohio is an aspiring singer, rapper, model and songwriter who has a smooth blend of R&B and Hip-Hop whose stage name is GeronT (pronounced Guarantee).  He is a member of the highly successful Columbus, Ohio group F.B.A (Favorite Buckeye Anthems), who have opened up for artists such as Boyz II Men and Robin Thicke; F.B.A has also performed multiple times at the world renowned Apollo Theatre in New York City.  F.B.A got their start in 2004 and became local celebrities for their music written for The Ohio State Buckeyes.  GeronT made the decision to pursue a solo career in 2011 in order to fully express his talent and to have the freedom to write songs that express and embody his personality.  GeronT’s style is heavily influenced by Ohio’s own Bone Thugs N Harmony, LL Cool J’s cool, mellow delivery, the rapping styles of 2Pac and Notorious BIG, and the swag of artists such as Bobby Brown, Usher and Ginuwine.  GeronT writes all of his own music and enjoys composing melodies that engage his fans and represent real life situations.  GeronT performs locally around the Columbus, Ohio area and is definitely known to keep the crowd entertained.  GeronT’s debut CD, Year of the G, will be completed in 2014.
