Bio

"The Get Go" was formed in February of 2007 after the demise of three influential Chicago groups "Mest", "Allister", and "Showoff". While on "Allister's" final Japanese tour Kyle Lewis and Scott Murphy (ex-"Allister") knew they still had a lot more to accomplish with music and decided to band together to form a new group. They immediately called Chris Dalle-Valle a long time ex band mate of Kyles and friend of Scotts and one of the most proficient song writers they knew. With the recent passing of his father and an arsenal of songs he had been writing since "Showoff" had dismembered he couldn't have been more ready for a new beginning. All had been friends with drummer Nick Gigler (ex Mest) through touring and was their immediate first choice. With all of the pieces in place they looked to local guitar legend Nathan "Ricardo" Thruman (ex Showoff) to fill in the vacant slot of resident shredder. So with all former bands broken up, and all 5 still very far from giving up the one true love, creating and performing music, "The Get Go" was born. It was an obvious match on all accounts. Within a couple phone calls and emails, writing and practicing started, and by years end they had a full length album recorded with producer Marc McClusky (Powerspace, Ludo, Hit The Lights, June, Farewell...), played shows from Pittsburgh to LA (including two sold out Chicago shows) and booked for a support slot on an upcoming UK MXPX/Punchline tour in February of '08 .

So now with 2008 underway, shows under their belt, hundreds of thousands of records sold in their past bands, and tours to look forward to "The Get Go" are ready to reunite with former fans, connect with new ones and swing full force at global domination!
