Bio

Hello fellow ghostly boys and girls, spooks and spookettes, welcome to the wondeful and sexually attractant world of the band that is The Ghosties. I will start by giving you a brief description of the band, and the story so far. We are an Ayrshire based 4 piece Indie/Synth/Pop/Rock masterpiece. We started gigging in early 2003, and from then up until the present day we have played an almost staggering 350 gigs.

In 2004 The Ghosties became a full time band and toured extensively all over Britain and the British Isles. Our full time stint came to a tragic end when our drummer turned a bit weird after going round a roundabout 3 times. He couldn't hack it and then left to become a teacher. Following this we recruited some other short term replacements and carried on our merry way. Now thankfully we have a settled band again with new recruits Malcolm Hunter (Drums) and Jane Prentice (Synth/Vox). During this time we have released 2 E.P.s, a live DVD, and have currently just released our 3rd E.P. From our first 2 E.P.s sales have reached 5000 and counting, and DVD sales are at roughly 1000. Not bad for a band without any record company backing, which without any contemplation, will come! We have recieved alot of radio airplay, locally, nationally, and internationally.

Check out an interview we done for the BBC after our performane at The Rockin Beer Festival in 2004 at http://www.bbc.co.uk/cambridgeshire/blast/articles/ghosties_interview.shtml As a band we take great pride in recieving brilliant live reviews after our performances. It is of course playing live that makes the band what it is, and is where we feel most at home.
Alot of people ask us who our influences are, about the only thing I can say to that is DEVO, they are a group that each one of us in the band love.
I like to think of the band as being that little bit different, not only for the music but for the fun and laughter aspect we bring!

We urge everyone to come and join in on The Ghosties adventure and spread The Ghosty Gospel. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, The Ghosties welcome any fellow spooksters who wish to follow, you won't be dissapointed. Remember folks, Who you gonna call? thats right, The Ghosties! Bonjour, and EEKA PEEKA PUKKA PO!
