Natalie S. Walker

Who is Natalie S. Walker? Well, the best word to describe Ms. Walker would be multi-gifted. Natalie is a noted background singer, a highly-valued promoter/producer, and a prolific writer in several areas including songwriting and poetry.

Natalie Walker has worked as a background vocalist for many artists including Mariah Carey, Don Henley, Joey McIntyre (lead singer of New Kids on the Block), Jessica Simpson, and Marc Anthony. She has participated in many shows including VH1 Divas, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, and London’s Top of the Pops. Last, but not least, Natalie can also be seen and heard in the HBO award winning show “Angels in America.”

Thanks to her experience in the music field, Natalie was able to further her passion for writing. She co-wrote the theme song for the UPN hit television series Half & Half. Two of Natalie’s songs have been featured on Showtime at the Apollo. Her song “My King” appears on the Melonie Daniels CD, Melonie Daniels Live.

In 1998, Natalie completed her book of poetry titled “N’Sight to See” and presented it at a full length poetry exhibit. Her poetry has been described as “elevating,” “rousing,” and “filled with genuine emotion.” Natalie’s book of “Mirror Poetry” comes from a phrase that was coined by her. The book is a series of poems repeated daily that helps readers to build their self-esteem while enlightening and reminding them of their worth and value.

Before focusing on Ms. Walker’s present projects, let’s start at the beginning. Natalie is a native New Yorker who comes from a musical family. Due to her family background, the stage has always been a part of Natalie’s life. She got her start as a performer, recorder, and writer with a group that she formed in her early teens. The group won several contests while performing throughout the tri-state area and was even the guest artist for “Queens Day” at the Home of the Worlds Fair for three straight years.

Natalie graduated college with honors and a double major in Vocal Performance and Music Business. While in college, Ms. Walker sang and also wrote poetry and songs. Natalie wrote biographies, CD copy, resumes, and press kits to earn money during college. Her work was so accomplished that it was published in many periodicals including The New York Times, The Village Voice, Musician’s Exchange, Rap Pages, Caribbean Life, Island Life, and Good Times.

Ms. Walker ventured into the business side of the entertainment industry independently after interning at the booking agency responsible for Eddie Murphy’s start. Ms. Walker’s first major production, Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah in 1996, was so successful that it earned her offers from the group’s management and booking agent to help promote the group and other Caribbean artists.

She owns the company The Girl’s Poetic and has been able to successfully promote several things including CD’s, concerts, Black History Month shows and fashion shows under this company. Due to her riveting health testimony, transfixing personality, and life-changing poetry, Natalie was afforded to opportunity to create, produce, and perform on N’sight to See. N’sight To See is Natalie’s public access TV show which airs weekly in New York on Cablevision. Natalie has had Eric Roberson, Anwar Robinson(Season 4 American Idol finalist), Darien Dean, Jaiden "The Cure" to name a few....She has also been able to successfully promote her TV show under her company.

Even with all of that under her belt, Ms. Walker is still going strong. This ambition mixed with the aptitude and broad range of skills that Natalie displays ensures that she will be ready to shine at any time or on any occasion!
