The band THE GOD was founded on September 11, 2001 by God Tronk Inrubas as a response to the religious politics behind the tragic terrorist attacks. THE GOD aim to infuse their music with philosophy to reach and bring people together with broad questions on spirituality and life. The name “The God” stems from the philosophy that every organic creation is equal. The belief is based on the idea that God is within everyone and everything. “It means seeing the world as one entity rather than trying to separate humankind into smaller, feuding divisions,” assures founder God Tronk Inrubas.
Over the first few years, Inrubas spent time studying the concepts of many different religions, comparing fundamental concepts and core teachings of each to identify the one and only important and consistent message: love. In 2004, THE GOD recorded the first mini-album “Three days of Love” in Boston, MA, described by Berklee College of Music professor Mirek Korkandrle as a “powerful pop/metal” recording. After completing their album, they began playing at Boston venues, private parties as well as the prestigious Berklee Performance Center.
In summer 2006, THE GOD went back to the studio to record their first full length album “Demonstration of God” (released August 11, 2007, WBBS Records). Motivated by great reviews and feedback from the fan base, Inrubas decided to move the band to Los Angeles to work on the pre-production of the groups next album, “God Bless’ You” (Pilot-Track compilation of “God Bless’ You” released March 2007).
The God is now headlining local Rock Festivals and plays renowned venues in Los Angeles and surroundings in California.
