Bio

You may have heard Stephanie's original songs on the Cartoon Network hit 'Camp Lazlo,'and feature film 'Chelsey.' Stephanie has also had the privilege of featured interviews with Channel 11 news, The Joey Reynolds Show, and Entertainment Tonight.

Stephanie's style can be described as a jazzy funky eclectic pop/rock. While some songs sound as if they’ve been pulled directly off the OC Soundtrack, others are a kin to the sounds of Van Morrison, Led Zepplin, and Sheryl Crow. Her voice has been compared to Joni Mitchell meets Chrissie Hynde. She has the attitude of Joan Jett, the vulnerability of Ani DiFranco, and the charisma of Annie Lennox.

Stephanie, grew up in Long Island, NY about 45 minutes from the bustling city of Manhatten. She began singing at the young age of four and learned several musical instruments during her childhood years including: clarinet, piano and guitar. During her scholastic years, her main interest was in musical theatre. After graduating the University of Michigan in 1999, Stephanie began performing in several New York City based cover bands In 2001, Stephanie had the unfortunate circumstance of witnessing the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center from only a few blocks away. She also had the misfortune of losing her then boyfriend at the time in the attacks. Four months after the attacks, Stephanie moved to Los Angeles and he music career began to take shape.

Recorded in 2002, "Running From Fear" encompasses the journey Stephanie took on the aftermath of 9/11. Her perception of relationships with family, herself, and her late boyfriend are all themes on this record. The content is deep but reveals the difficult emotions we deal with as humans when someone we love is abruptly taken from us.

After "Running From Fear" Stephanie began performing around town acoustically and with fly by night bands she set up to keep the momentum of her career going. Going through the trials and tribulations of every new artist, Stephanie played to empty houses tried manifesting numerous benefit concerts, and struggled to keep band members in place. All the while, working through her own resistance in having a career as a recording artist. These struggles were revealed through song on her sophomore album, "Sacrifice." "Sacrifice" deals with ideas and beliefs Stephanie had about herself and her music career that she had to let go of in order to embody the powerful woman that she is.

Thus far in her journey as a singer/songwriter Stephanie has had the pleasure of working with such outstanding artists as Tracey "Spacey T" Singleton formerly of Fishbone, Jimi Hazel of 24-7 Spyz, Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros) and Neftali Santiago of Mandrill. She's shared the stage with the incomparable Janet Robin (student of Randy Rhodes and former guitarist of Michelle Shocked), had the honor of attaining a featured interview with Entertainment Tonight, Joey Reynolds Show, and Channel 11, as well as had the opportunity to perform concerts benefitting such charities as the Life Group LA, Tree People, And September Space.

After a strong 2009 where she spent 6 months in the recording studio with Peter DiStefano (Porno For Pyros) and spent the summer touring nationally with Amanda Abizaid, Stephanie has settle in her new southern city San Antonio. She started a new hard rock project with her musician husband Mark Taglianetti called Second Chance. Second Chance is currently performing in the San Antonio/Austin area.
