The Gonzo Circus is a unique mash up of sounds and people with one common goal: Party.
Mark - a fine young guitar player, singer, songwriter, hailing from Harford Co., Md. Grew up in the country, listening to trailer park rock. Found punk rock i.e. Crass, the Dead Kennedy's, and Rancid, and hip hop ala Dead Prez, Sage Francis, NWA and Biggie, in high school. The blues, like Albert Collins and Freddy King after, Bob Dylan before and after, then came the Pogues and the Clancy's, then Hank Williams Sr. Currently obsessed with Taraf Da Hadouiks and Gogol Bordello and Mischief Brew and eastern european/middle eastern sounds and shapes.
Jim - a lovely boy, good guitar player, with them pretty vocals up high or gruff down low. A sucker for Neil Young, Radiohead, The White Stripes. Calls 'em like he sees 'em. Lover of outdoors. Good listener. Oh yeah, he likes Phish...got a problem with that, scenester?
Robert - Robert is not of this world. He is a musician. He likes the Tin Hat Trio and early Soundgarden. Also Tom Waits. Tom... Waits... Likes to dance like a gypsy or march in place. Sometimes he's bad. Bad Robert.
Drew - Drew plays the bass. Is moe. in town? Howabout Umphree's? Maybe a Ween side project? Drew is there, dude. Drew is happy he's alive. Don't bring him down. We mean it. Tenacious D. He likes them to. Drew will rock you.
Spinal Tap. Drew will rock you again.
Brendan - He's the new guy. He's really good. He likes the Disco Biscuits, I know that.
