Bio

Based out of Santa Ana, California, the good bites are a garage-pop trio with a knack for melody and a wide range of influences from CCR to the Buzzcocks and Ween.

The good bites are Jake Rogers on guitar/lead vocals, Kerry Porter on bass guitar/vocals and Christina Chan on drums.

In August 2009, Jake Rogers finished school in Idaho with an unmarketable degree, and Kerry Porter learned that the warehouse where he worked was closing. The two were long-time friends, who had met in California before Rogers left for school, and shared a love for melodic music of all flavors. During their separation, the two had been exchanging song ideas via the mail, and were already discussing forming a band. After losing his job, Porter had copies of keys to a newly-empty warehouse. Rogers moved in, and the good bites began. Christina Chan was an acquaintance of Porter’s, and was soon jamming with them in the warehouse. In the secrecy of night, the three wrote songs, recorded, and practiced aggressively for months, in the midst of a white-collar corporate business plaza in Orange County.

They are quickly gaining an internet fan base, while playing talked-about, sincerely energetic shows throughout Southern California to a rapidly-growing audience. Their Ivory EP is currently available, and they are hard at work on their debut album, due out in November 2010.
