The Good Husbands

The Good Husbands are a group of dudes from Washington, just doing the music thing. I came across their music a while back, and I’ve waited for the perfect jam to post. Blast this as you’re walking to class (or in my case, biking), driving along random streets, or even cooking up some breakfast before you start your day. They’ve got a different sound and some great lyricism – this track is undoubtedly one of their best. The “Many the Miles” sample from Sara Bareilles is the perfect choice to set the tone for this positive song. I guarantee, you’re going to smile when you hear this one. - The Kollection

The long-awaited mixtape from The Good Husbands dropped a few days ago, featuring a few songs we’ve heard before, albeit with a new twist, as well as lots of new material. Rarely in modern music does an album get released where every song is outstanding, but “The Proposal” is an album that does just that. Coinciding with the release of the mixtape was the music video of “So Nice”, the opening track of the album. The Good Husbands’ debut mixtape is finally here! Coming out of the Northwest, and more specifically Friday Harbor, WA, The Good Husbands are a group of non-married men who are married to creating feel good music, much like fellow Washington natives The Blue Scholars, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Sol, and Grynch. You know The Good Husbands from their underground hit “Things I Haven’t Done”, but they have much more to offer like this whole mixtape with summertime vibes. A majority of the mixtape is self-produced by Satin of the group, but Philly’s Big Z cranked out a hot beat along with a couple dope beats from 9th Wonder. Guest appearances on the tape are from Mike Stud, Alysha Lynn, and Miles Cobos. - Good Music All Day
