"Interview w/ Chad Fischer - Producer: Colin Hay, Cary Brothers, Alexi Murdoch, Lisa Loeb"

“They’re definitely ahead of their time. They sound incredib–very, very mature — great songwriters.”

“It’s great to see a band… that really grew up together — they learned their instruments together. There’s a loyalty and a rapport… you cannot fake that stuff, and you can’t re-create it either.” - Left Coast Podcasts

"New releases"

"This... indie-rock band delivers a powerful, infectious platter of pop-rock perfect for long summer drives." - The Grand Rapids Press

"University of Hawaii-Hilo Album of the Week"

"[Blends] the perfect mix of pop, rock, folk and garage into one highly delectable musical cocktail, this band’s sound is smooth and satisfying... The melodies feel instantly familiar while the vibe shimmers like the best of these warm summer days. Thoughtful lyrics make this a no-brainer. All hail the Good Luck Joes." - UHHRadio.com

"The Good Luck Joes At Station 4 (Minneapolis/St. Paul)"

"Seeing The Good Luck Joes live... for the first time, [I] could tell right off that they had that “thing.” It’s a combination of charisma, a clear understanding of how to construct a successful song, world-class musicianship and an ability to catch the attention of folks like myself who see hundreds of bands a year.

"The Good Luck Joes have enough hooks that you can enjoy the band the first time you see them without necessarily being familiar with their music. If you have listened to the tracks on their website, “48 Hours,” from their debut EP (which also appears on their first full length What Do You Think of The Noise) will stick in your head, as will songs like “The Sun Explodes,” a well-crafted pop song that pulls you along at just the right rate and then punches you gently in the chest with its soaring chorus. You’ll also find yourself humming ballads like “Middle of Me” as you leave the venue." - How Was The Show.com; David de Young

"Bill Pfordresher - Former VP of Promotion at Elektra Records"

"The Good Luck Joes... young rockers who create great melodies, lyrics, and harmonies. Don't miss this one." - Bill Pfordresher

"Joe Puerta - Bassist, Multi-Grammy nominee with Ambrosia, Grammy winner with Bruce Hornsby and the Range"

"The Joes put together tight, concise arrangements, smart lyrics, stay-in-you-head hooks, with a charm in the live show that is winning instant fans." - Joe Puerta

"The Milwaukee band brews a beautiful noise"

"Their eclectic taste and style shine through on 'What Do You Think of That Noise?,' allowing them to create catchy, upbeat pop tracks, in addition to more sentimental tracks, all of which combine to make a strong, successful album. The songs are incredibly vibrant, incorporating instrumental layers with meaningful, inspirational and contemplative lyrics. The album is exceptionally produced and mastered, as the band pays close attention to minor details."
- Beth Wick - The Daily Cardinal (Univeristy of Wisconsin)

"Bruce Warren, World Cafe"

"Middle of Me" is a massive hit song in the waiting." - WXPN

"Midwest Music Summit"

"The Joes serve up ear-candy pop with memorable choruses blending Train-style ballads with Counting Crows swagger." - Cincinnati Inquirer

"The Morning Blend"

"They are about to blow up, so if you want to be able to say, 'I used to listen to The Good Luck Joes before they were big,' you had better hurry up and get into them." - WTMJ Channel 4 NBC Affiliate

Bio

Since their conception in 2002 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, The Good Luck Joes have caught the ears of discerning listeners (young and old), as well as some key movers-and-shakers in the music industry. The bands recent album, "What Do You Think of That Noise?," runs the gamut of the modern pop-rock spectrum. Between the summery, stadium-pop of "Middle of Me" and the ethereal electronic sounds of "Butterflies," lies a collage of garage, folk, classic rock, and modern top 40, each blended with a sense of playfulness into a brand of pop that has something all its own. With the help of Chad Fischer's (Colin Hay, Cary Brothers, Alexi Murdoch) production, the GLJs have refined a sound that treads nimbly around Harrison-esque guitar hooks, Coldplay's piano-driven grandiosity, and Wilco's intimate confessions-in-song

Live, at venues as varied as Milwaukee's Summerfest, NYC's Canal Room, Chicago and Cleveland's HOB, LA's Whisky-a-Go-Go and Viper Room, and on many college campuses, The Good Luck Joes have won fans with a charismatic and highly energetic stage presence. Audiences relate emotionally to the band’s lyrics, which are done justice by lead-singer Andrew Martin’s impassioned and honest delivery. Next to him are lead-guitarist Andrew Krei and keyboardist Andrew Citron, who both intrigue with their stage presence: at some moments they are pictures of stoic concentration while at others they move with exuberance and rock’n’roll abandon. And in the rhythm section are, surprisingly, two non-Andrews; Joe Scheltema and Peterson Goodwyn on bass and drums, respectively, provide the groove and kinetic energy that drive the bands performance.

Thanks to Planetary Group (AAA speciality), Tinderbox (College), JB Brenner and Jesse Barnett, Machine Records, and Platform One, more than 400 radio stations (both internet and traditional) have played songs from the band's albums. Lynn Grossman of Secretroad Management (Los Angeles) oversees placement opportunties for the music. "Middle of Me" from "Noise" was used in a national promotion for a new fall drama on ABC-TV, the GLJs were the featured artist for an episode of MTV's Real World Denver. "Frozen" and "Much Too Young" were featured on ABC Family's Kyle XY. Currently The Weather Channel's Epic Conditions series is using "The Fugitive" and "48 Hours" in episodes on heli-snowboarding and extreme mountain biking, respectively. Two new videos were recently completed for "Invincible" and "Middle of Me." The band released a 5 song EP, "Why Everything Goes Wrong," in the summer of 2007. Recorded at Smart Studios in Madison, WI, it is now available through iTunes and other digital sources. Physical copies can be obtained through CD-Baby.
