Im just a white, prep school kid from the burbs of Nashville TN. My family does well, I've always had good friends, and life hasn't thrown many curveballs my way. I didn't come from the hood. I don't have to floss all my bling to be cool, I dont even have any bling. My background gives me a unique perspective in a genre that is constantly spewing forth the same shit day in and day out.
I was raised around the music business, which has brought many different types of music into my life. I have been influenced a little by most all music I hear, and as such, music can mean a lot of different things to me. Sometimes my rhymes are serious, and touch on more intelligent or sensative subjects, but theres also a side of me that just wants to enjoy music and just have fun with the english language. The duality of my music is refreshing, unlike most rappers who have 14 songs on 1 cd that are all about 'bitches and blunts'.
My hype men and group members are all kids from simaler situations as me, and together we poke fun at the rap industry a little bit, but at the same time embracing it as an art form. We're not gangster, and we don't try to be.
Most importantly, my music is for me. I'll say shit that offends people. I'll make fun of other rappers who could easily beat me up. But I don't care, and as soon as I offend somebody, I'll suprise them and present them with an idea or a point of view they never really had thought of before.
