Bio

The Gospel Explosions, a group of four young men who came together in 1996 to form what is sure to be one of the hottest gospel groups of this decade. Stan Travis, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, founded the group after relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida, where it all began after months of hard work, polishing what would be one of the most unique styles of gospel music to ever hit the gospel arena. Group members, Earnest Lovely, Kenneth Lovely, Joe Torres and Stan Travis decided to bring a different flavor to gospel audiences by combining the sytles of music from the early 70's and 80's. They were influenced by groups such as the award winning Temptations, The Mighty Clouds of Joy and a host of others. The Gospel Explosions are a group of young men called by God to be vessels to carry the awesome work of God by way of song, to lift the burden of everyday life from God's people. The group recorded it's first record in August of 1997 entitled "I Don't Want to Stop Praising Him", which brought great success. After traveling extensively around the State of Florida, the group saw a need to reach the younger generation and began to gear their music to attract the younger audience. The group later released its second single "Jesus Came into My Life" which got the young people out of their seats and up praising the Lord. The Gospel Explosions have received numerous awards and have shared the stage with gospel legends such as The Williams Brothers, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Gospel Keynotes, The Canton Spirituals, Vickie Winnans, John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Shirley Ceasar, Helen Baylar and many more.
