The Grand United is songwriter Aaron Tebrinke's project. All of the songs are writen on acoustic guitar or piano. The sound is a new twist on rock n' roll useing strange elements from many influences.
Many critics have said that Tebrinke has " the perfect rock n' roll voice." For the most part The Grand United has a mellow feel but has many moments of rising action and dramatic moments. Don't be fooled when you see that the band is an acoustic group. Yes, The Grand United uses acoustic equipment, but it is layered under cris-crossed soundscapes and samples.
The Grand United's other genius songwriter Jason Zoubek brings a huge virity of clasical and tecnical experimants to the talble.
The Grand United has been associated with the "noise pop" genera due to the great sing- along song writing and expermination with feedback and droney nosie.
The new album Blue City was released in January of 2006 and clocks in at 80 minutes and has 21 extraoridany songs.
