Bio

Comprised of elder twin brothers Chris (Keys) and Kevin (bass), and youngest brother Sean (lead guitar/vocals), the Graves have quickly established a reputation as being more than just your next tween pop idols. Despite an image that invites comparisons to The Jonas Brothers at first glance, a listen to the Graves music clearly distinguishes their own unique identity and distinct sound.

The Graves grew up around music in a multi-instrument household, allowing each brother to find something they could identify with, feeling out their own individual voices before deciding to come together and start writing music as a band just over a year ago. Since collaborating together as a group, the brothers have written – and recently completed recording – 12 original songs, showcasing their unique ability to write pop-friendly, sing-along melodies. In their songs, the Graves convey a uniquely earnest and mature range of topics and styles that maintains an edge and credibility rarely seen or heard amongst aspiring musicians regardless of age or genre. This range can be attributed in part to their diverse range of influences from the Foo Fighters and the Beach Boys to the Beatles and the Kooks.

In the very short period of time that the Graves have been writing and releasing music together, the band has stirred up a small frenzy amongst fans and industry alike. Their remarkable early achievements include over 30,000 views of their debut video “So Soon” on YouTube, 11,000 fans on Facebook, a soldout show at the Roxy in W. Hollywood this past December supporting Honor Society, and a recurring band poster featured in the MTV hit series “Shameless.” Fans will also have the opportunity to hear their song “The Beach Song” featured in the forthcoming feature film “New Years Eve” starring Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Beal, and Sarah Jessica Parker., as well as a recurring band poster featured in the MTV hit series “Shameless.”

With so much talent, drive, and focus, rarely scene seen amongst musicians their age, aspiring or established, it is clear this band will go far.Today may be your introduction to the Graves, but you can bet that it will not be the last time you hear from them.
