The Great American Escape

The Great American Escape was formed in 2010 by it's current members, Chris Widener and Paul Blake. Focusing on the raw emotions of a song, and the natural ability to arrange them, they self produced their first demo titled Widener and Blake's The Great American Escape. Playing locally in Newark, Delaware they continued to develop and capture these emotions at their live shows. Matt Sullivan from Spark Magazine writes " by the time I left the bar I knew their name was The Great American Escape. It's good to know you can still find good original music in a college town. They know how to put on a good show." While thriving locally, they dreamed of one day expanding their music nationally by relocating to the great state of California. After a good deal of local/regional touring, The Great American Escape raised the funds to relocate. Their journey begins on the seventh of May, when they will begin the long haul to the West Coast. Included within their website's press kit is photo's of their professionally tuned PA, dontated by Bender Music. This allows them to perform through a high definition sound stage, while allowing their listeners to hear every subtle note. This is truly what the business is all about.
