The Greenleafs

BandRockAlternative

Tired of the same old same old in music today? Then check out The Greenleafs. A unique blending of Rock, Acoustic, Alternative, Folk, Progressive, Blues, Jazz, and maybe even a little Country, The Greenleafs are a step above today's dreary music scene.

Biography

The Greenleafs draw influences from all across the spectrum including The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Live, Vertical Horizon, The Gin Blossoms, Ben Folds, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Genesis, The Eagles, Alabama, Weezer, Spin Doctors, Sister Hazel and far too many others to name.

The guys have been playing together in one form or another since 1998. Over ten bands and countless members later, the four joined up and formed The Greenleafs. Constantly expanding and updating their sound, The Greenleafs are not afraid to play country and hard rock back to back. They just play good music.

Lyrics

Park Avenue

Written By: The Greenleafs

She said it must be nice
Living on Park Avenue
Only when there's someone waiting there for you

I turn to look but I cannot find you
I hear you calling out my name
Sometimes I feel so alone without you
But I guess that's just the price of fame

I said you must think twice
About living on Park Avenue
All I ever wanted was being there with you

I turn to look but I cannot find you
I hear you calling out my name
Sometimes I feel so alone without you
But I guess that's just the price of fame

She said it must be nice
Living on Park Avenue
All I ever wanted was being there with you

Diablo

Written By: Lyrics by Dustin Wilson

It must have been a dream
All these things that I have seen
Diablo hides her head and walks away

And it doesn't make sense
My lack of defense
Left me alone at the end of the day

(And she can take you)
Higher than you want to fly
(And she can take you)
Longer than you want to stay
(And she can take you)
More than you could pay
(And she can take you)
You'll never even ask why

I don't think I could explain the way
I wait for what she might say
Diablo puts her hand in mine

And this dream that I call my own
Has made each of us its home
A place we never know the time

Chorus
