The Gremmies are an East Coast surf band that created their own version of the classic surf guitar sound. Based out of Baltimore, these 3 non-surfing water fearing hodads compensate for their lack of webbing with reverb dripping good times.
The trio is made up of Tony “Turnip� Leicht on guitar, Andy Vogel on bass and Todd Dring on drums. Drawing on classic surf influences such as Dick Dale as well as contemporary acts like Los Straitjackets, The Gremmies have created a unique sound that finds an audience with everyone.
The band has performed with such legendary surf bands as The Surfaris.
Their stylish mix of the classic 60s Surf sound and modern (yet retro) instrumental music give The Gremmies a sound all their own. And audiences from coast to coast agree
