Forming in February 2012, Sydney five-piece, The Griswolds were Parklife Unearthed winners, triple j Unearthed feature artist, picked up by over 100 blogs around the globe and supported the likes of Django Django (UK), Last Dinosaurs and San Cisco, simply by posting their first track "Mississippi'' online.
The Aussie party boys' infectious melodies and catchy tunes arrive just in time for summer. Neon Gold Blog hails Their euphoric slice of indie pop brings to mind the youthful exuberance of Vampire Weekend with the nonchalant cool of The Strokes and percussive intensity of Friendly Fires
Heart Of A Lion, the bands first track, will be available digitally August 27th. Upon its release in Australia, the song was immediately added into high rotation on triple j and ended 2012 as one of the stations most played tracks of the year. The international airwaves were quick to take notice with the song attracting airplay in over 20 countries worldwide and landing the #12 spot on We are Hunteds emerging chart. Heart Of A Lion also reached #3 on the radio airplay charts in The Netherlands via tastemaker station 3FM and was an iTunes single of the week in the region.

The Griswolds full album will be out early 2014 but beginning today, May 2nd, The Griswolds will give away a free track, Mississippi ...an incredibly colorful and upbeat cut that practically embodies the summer season in its upbeat feel, says The Music Ninja. The track was also featured in an Original Skateboard video at the end of last year and has garnered close to 200,000 views.
The Griswolds are gearing up to take America by storm. The band recently graced the US in May beginning in LA with MUSEEXPO, NARM and The Viper Room. It was then on to New York where they played Brooklyn Bowl as part of Popshop and the Mercury Lounge before heading to the UK where they performed at key international festivals including Great Escape and London Calling.
