The gRizZ is a twisted dj/producer hailing from the Windy City, by way of Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Chemical engineer by day, the self-taught turntablist and ever-evolving producer forges his musical creations from sounds found in the past, and a few from the future. Dusty records, dirty synths, and horror movie soundtracks create inspiration for his dark, intricate beats, peppered with scratch education. Influenced by artists like DJ Shadow, Jel, D-Styles, Sixtoo, Odd Nosdam, the Flaming Lips and Kid 606, the grizz has developed a haunting style all his own.
