The Guruvs

As a band we have been playing together since late january 2007. Bryan Fraser and Les Amundsen have been playing music together since junior year of high school starting with punk rock bands and slowly evolving towards deeper styles. Joshua Gow signed on to play drums in January and we have been playing together ever since. Bryan Fraser is the lead guitarist and writes almost all the music, lyrics, and parts to the songs. Our influences differ greatly in the band. Bryan's influences are The Beatles, Phish, Beethoven, Trey Anastasio, Roy Buchanen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Al di Meola, Third Eye Blind, 311, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, and his father William Fraser. Les Amundsen's influences are Incubus, the Spill Canvav, Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Saves the Day, Brand New, Minus the Bear, Juliana Theory, Taking Back Sunday, and 311. Joshua Gow's influences are tool, buddy rich, the Chemical Brothers, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Nas, Tom Petty, and most jazz.
