Bio
Down slim dark cobblestones and dirty alleyways, B met BB one dark night in Brooklyn, and they began talking music and futures unknown, laying waste to the remains and ghosts of the past and soon enough a hold on tight romance was born blistering and boiling and The Curse was begun.
High tailing it to Melbourne, Australia they began to write and record songs together and everyone who heard the mesh of tone in their voices stood still and quiet and saw this birth as a dance, a sin of sorrow. A sadness of singing.
After 7 weeks in Australia, BB headed home to New York and B took off for a two month tour of Europe. There the family began to take shape - a violinist in Dresden, a rhythm section and producer in Copenhagen and a incredible Swede who could pick up any instrument, but whose talents on the guitar screamed lusty laughter and angry delight...The pedigree of the players was faultless, with an impressive credit list of previous bands - The Gin Club, Water Music, Wynona, CODY, Halph, Mark Steiner & His Problems, Nellis Elefant...and on and on and on...
This band of wild and well travelled misfits were drawn to the songs of B & BB and when the call was put out to meet in a tiny log cabin, deep in the woods of Sweden, The Gypsy Curse landed upon the world. For five days they played together day and night, drawn to each other as a past life returned. Recording 14 songs live in a determined haze, leaving nothing behind, collapsing each night in an emotional wreck, The Gypsy Curse laid down their debut EP - From These Broken Hands.
