The Heartbreaks

The Heartbreaks

Happy to wear their hearts and intellect on their sleeves, The Heartbreaks trade in beautifully skewed melancholy, proving that boys with guitars can still be poetic, punchy and most of all, poptastic.

The Heartbreaks are all about finding poetry in the bleakest of situations and have been indulging such notions of romance for as long as they can remember. Born and brought up in the coastal town of Morecambe, the four friends, admittedly sons and heirs to nothing in particular, bound to one another through the same passions (Motown, Mod aesthetics, the seaside), jealousies (small town frustrations) and hates (music that said nothing to them about their lives). Forming The Heartbreaks in May 2009, the four members relocated to Manchester with the intention of forming a band that could actually mean something to people... a band to inspire devotion.

Debut single-'Liar, My Dear' to be released on Sevensevens- 8th March 2010. Streamed tracks are available The band are currently receiving airplay on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6music show and Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show.
