Bio
The Heartland has been a band since early 2004 and has since gone through several lineup changes to get to its current form. The band has been challenging the boundaries of traditional forms of metal and hardcore to achieve a unique sound that is all their own. To achieve this sound the Heartland borrows influences from Indie, Jazz, and Ambient music; Bringing to life a new sound that is different than most of what is available in the vastly over populated and under inspired Metal Genre. The Heartland has completed five U.S. tours. They continue to spread their unique brand of technical hardcore and metal through a rigorous touring schedule. They have shared the stage with such notable acts as Psyopus, Ion Dissonance, Ed Gein, Despised Icon, Across Five Aprils, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Bleeding Through, Misery Signals, Anam Cara, Heavy Heavy Low Low, See You Next Tuesday, Life In Your Way, Ligea and have toured the east coast with The Devil Wears Prada. In essence, The Heartland hopes to bring back a sense of urgency and heart to a scene that is currently lacking. They Hope to do this while creating the most technically sound and interesting music they can play.
