Lyrics

Don't Say The Words Don't Keep The Time (Sigh)

Written By: Louis Barclay

the beautiful intelligent girl stands in the empty classroom and looks around.

she holds her arms out ironically, doing the jesus thing. tentative for now

then some sun comes in through the dusty window, she puts her feet together

and as the sun hits her neck, then her eyes, she reflects on the weather

and the dust doesnt hurt her, she is clever (she thinks) as she says ironically

it doesnt matter what i become, i'm clever and beautiful!

and they all feel like falling down, all the things in that room. she is beautiful and intelligent

a beautiful and intelligent girl and the teaching sun is a great complement

start simple. dont evolve, change entirely

my life is peppered by so many things i think are beautiful
but which ive never been able to grasp to the fullness of their being

ive seen reflections off them which have caused my eyes to water, throat to slow

(but the other sides remain thought of and not realised or known)
