Bio

Picture a walk down memory lane in an overheated reggae territory. The soul of a small club by a dusty road that reeks of cigarette smoke and cheap whiskey. The Higglers was born in the southern breeze in a small east coast town in Norway called, Fevik. Formed by Leif Erik Westergren - singer, bassplayer and songwriter of the punkrockband, Darling Daizy, in 2009 as a protest against the national and international radios growing more and more apart from the great forefathers and founders of certain genres of music by devoting close to all air time to electronical music.
Even though The Higglers is an infant band-wise, the members are no strangers to the music industry or the big scene. Darling Daizy were an active band for a period of 4 years and toured USA, UK and the rest of Europe several times with bands such as The Lawrence Arms, Fabulous Disaster, The Peepshows, MTV's Jackass and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones to mention a few. The band also released 2 full length albums during that time and climbed high up on the national charts both with a music video and single from the latest album called, "Can I Get A Woop Woop". DD also performed on (...at that time-2003) on Johnny Depp's famous Los Angeles club, The Viper Room.
Soundwise, The Higglers is a total different package compared to Darling Daizy's punkrock. The Higglers is influenced by the classical cripsy days of music all the way back to the 50's when the musical expression was about having a good time. The Higglers does reggae with a soul but has a punkrock beast half-a-sleep lurking in the back.
