Bio

The Hill, two brothers of Wadarndi & Yamatji descent, crept out from a hole in the wall in a small town named Perth, far, far to the west of the Land of Oz.

Bam! their instruments fell from the sky, damn near killing them. Fortunately they had ninja like reflexes and instead of getting deadybones'd, they got funky.

Not that "unwashed for a month" kind of funky, the other type. The good type...

With the new acoustic approach to live performance, the brothers are bringing their potential to audiences via a contemporary, lo-fi, folk/rock, blues-tinged experience, with just enough pop to keep to your ears tingling like you rubbed 'em with chilli powder and your hips swaying like that hawaiian lady over there.

Influences range from Nick Cave, Gomez, Ben Harper, Stevie Wonder, Incubus, Serj Tankian, In Flames, The Blues, Chick Corea, Jazz, The Beatles, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel, Chopin, Andrea Bocelli and Lynyrd Skynyrd through to Jose Gonzalez, Jeff Buckley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Bluegrass, Cat Stevens, brazilian drumming, Poncho Sanchez and Jimi Hendrix.
