THE HINT

BandAlternativeRock

Writing and touring... and spending time with our fans. We've always said only the music and fans matter.

Biography

It's fitting that THE HINT has successfully toured both the States and the UK: this fiercely independent band are as much British pop as American rock, as much Duran Duran and The Cure as Weezer and Jimmy Eat World.

This is a band to watch -- on their own, they've sold 12,000 CD's along with thousands of downloads on iTunes and a new album in Japan. THE HINT has already sold out their hometown (800-capacity) five times, and shared the stage in front of 3,000 with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Plain White T's, Good Charlotte, All Time Low, The Matches and Cartel, crisscrossing the States.

Now armed with the support of influential voices like MTV and Alternative Press, and a new release from the creators of Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Killers, THE HINT are set for a breakout year.

"Timeless music that can be as catchy as a single or as moody as something The Cure would release. I'm expecting big things from this band." - Tim Towner, CEO of Smartpunk

Tell Me How Your Really Feel

Written By: THE HINT

Song: "Tell Me How You Really Feel"
Album: They Can't Stop Us Now
Artist: THE HINT

I hear you’re back home, I’m far away
My emotions ran dry, now they’re all awake
You don’t know, know how this feels
Oh, the sinking feeling of a terrible mistake

Tell me how you really feel
Right now, when you’re under the gun
Tell me how you really feel
Right now, right now

(yeah yeah...)

Cherry red lips and cold black stares
Parking lots and casual affairs
What we’ve got is so much more
Oh, I think you’re making such a terrible mistake

Tell me how you really feel
Right now, when you’re under the gun
Tell me how you really feel
Right now, give in to someone

With God as my witness, don’t hold back on me
With God as my witness, I know:
You still love me

Tell me how
You still love me
(yeah yeah...)

Lover don’t be a fool, be honest with yourself
Dig deep in your heart, I hear it screaming for help
The only thing that matters in the end:
You still love me!

Tell me how you really feel
Right now, when you’re under the gun
Tell me how you really feel
Right now, give in to someone

With God as my witness, don’t hold back on me
With God as my witness, I know:
You still love me

Tell me how
You still love me
(yeah yeah...)
Tell me now
Tell me now:
You still love me

Remember (No One Said It Was Easy)

Written By: THE HINT

Song: "Remember (No One Said It Was Easy)"
Album: They Can't Stop Us Now
Artist: THE HINT

I remember a time when life got us carried away
Dotted lines on the pavement, taking turns to keep each other awake

The melody lasts when the memory fades
And I hear the sound of your voice every time it plays

I remember you like it was yesterday
I remember you when you used to say
"Maybe this is love," no one said it was easy

Falling into reckless abandon, singing every word to the song
You let go of the wheel when you knew that I was still holding on

The melody lasts when the memory fades
And i hear the sound of your voice every time it plays

and I’m singing...

I remember you like it was yesterday
I remember you when you used to say
"Baby, this is love," no one said it was easy

Painted trees in the rearview behind me now
Replacing Summer with Fall and wondering how you are
We’re speeding faster, spinning after
Slow it down to remember a moment that’s gone
And we’ll remember it all

I remember you like it was yesterday
I remember you when you used to say
"Baby, this is love," no one said it was easy

Things We Do In The Dark

Written By: THE HINT

Song: "Things We Do In The Dark"
Album: They Can't Stop Us Now
Artist: THE HINT

I need to see you alone tonight
Please stay awake with me
They can’t stop us now
I’ll see you at midnight
We’ll meet outside
Feeling large as life as we climb the stairs
You take my hand

Turn the lights down low and close the door
We’re all alone in your room
And it’s come to this...
You’re taking off your dress
Feel your hand on my chest
My heart’s racing underneath

Lying next to me
Body to body
Body to body
So close to me

The things we do in the dark
Make the biggest light in my heart

We tumble to the bed
You’re swimming in my head
So beautiful, I’m wrapped up in you
We’re so nervous, I feel your body shake
A slow dance, your arms around my waist
Soft lips, you whisper in my ear
We start to smile

Lying next to me
Body to body
Body to body
So close to me

The room revolves around the bed
Now I can see you
The celing’s a sky as I look on
I really really see you
Brilliant stars light up and I
I can feel you, my Darling Dear

The things we do in the dark
Make the biggest light in my heart
I feel your body shake
Tonight will stay with me forever

The things we do in the dark...
