Hidenori and Keith met in 2002 through a mutual interest in Wadaiko (Japanese Taiko) and released a 5 song album "pfat?" in 2005.
In January of 2007 Hide and Keith traveled to a small town called Ubud on the Indonesian island of Bali. This trip included playing at a Hindu temple with a Gamelan group and a joint live/jam session with I Ketut Suwentra, Art director of "Suar Agung" (Balinese Jegog group).
Upon returning home to Kyoto, work began on a new album. The second album, which is due to be released in the summer of 2008, has been influenced by many types of music from around the world.
"The HNK Experience" started out as a Wadaiko group, but the past year has seen the incorporation of many new instruments and concepts from many different parts of the world. They are excited about what the future holds because they are always looking for new challenges and outlets to express their creativity.
