"Great White Hopes For Rock n Roll"

"There's something dangerous about them. Something rock and roll that puts a primal swagger in their step. Once their debut album is out I could well imagine NME journos prematurely ejaculating in a frenzy to be the first to say they have found the great white hopes for rock and roll" - Meenster Mainy - XXX thing

"Confident bluesy swagger"

"The album is well produced, got that confident bluesy swagger down to a tee, really enjoying the vocals too" - Ally McCrae - BBC Radio 1

Bio

The Holy Ghosts are a SAMA (Scottish Music Award)-winning 5-piece band playing Rock n' Roll with a splash of Country and a dash of the Blues.

The band came together in Edinburgh, in January 2012, playing the music they love. Their sound revolves around 60s rock n roll with a modern twist - often drawing comparisons with the Stones during their 'Exile on Main Street' era.

The band members are Jack Sandison, Jon Mackenzie, Rory Penman, Jonny Linstead and Andy Barbour.

Performing live is the group's forte with the use of razor sharp guitars, wailing harmonica, honky tonk piano, spine tingling three part harmonies and on stage charisma that makes The Holy Ghosts the band to watch in 2013.

The Holy Ghosts have already made an impact on the Scottish music scene with festival slots up and down the country, live performances on BBC Radio and BBC TV, support slots with the likes of Alabama 3, The View and Toploader.

The band's first EP 'Devil On Your Side EP' launched them to success at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2013, whilst their second EP 'Voodoo Shakedown' has seen the band grow into a country-tinged sound.

The EPs have been aired across the UK on the BBC, Camden Unsigned, Alternative Manchester FM, Heartland FM, blogs, social platforms and university stations.

The Holy Ghosts debut album is set to launch early next year, with thanks to Owen Morris (Oasis, The View, The Verve, Ash), Garry Boyle (Broken Records, The Banana Sessions and Stanley Odd) and the team at Gorbals Sound Studio in Glasgow.
