"Podcast Album Review [09/21/15]"

“Dig into The Honeyrunners, a Toronto-based rock and roll 4-piece that puts the classic in classic rock (think driving kick drums and killer organ foundations), while somehow managing to be timeless.” –Jesse Daly, A Feedback Loop - A Feedback Loop

"Honeyrunners @ The Horseshoe [02/07/15]"

“An infectious mixture of Motown, neo-punk, soul, rhythm and blues. Recorded live off the floor, they display talents of vibrant harmonies and soulful hooks with foot stompin’ grit…This quartet is super tight, you can feel how committed they are to owning their sound.” –The Deli Mag - Deli Magazine

"The Honeyrunners - EP 2 Review [12/18/14]"

“All-in-all, it can be said that this EP is, by far, one of the most impressive records that I’ve heard from an up-and-coming rock group, and future projects from this gifted quartet is highly anticipated. If you’re a fan of soulful, groovy rock ‘n’ roll, EP 2 is an absolute must-have.” –Brandon Schiafone, Niji Magazine - Niji Magazine

"CMW 2014 @ Horseshoe Tavern [05/10/14]"

"King Khan & BBQ Show, The Honeyrunners, Head of The Heard, The Balconies, The Damn Truth, and Jordan Klassen all performed at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto last night for CMW 2014." - Neil Van, Live iN Limbo - Live iN Limbo

"Album Review: The Honeyrunners EP [04/19/13]"

"This music is much more than a recreation of a classic sound. It is a seamless amalgam of various genres which have now become this new form of current pop music. When I hear music of that caliber being performed today, it gives me hope for the future of the music industry." - Gideon Greenbaum-Shinder, The Scene Magazine - The Scene Magazine (Ontario)

"Concert Review: The Honeyrunners @ Silver Dollar"

"They’re a tight four-piece layering keys, riffs and bam-pow drums to keep toes tapping and hips in sway (and not even a broken foot can keep their drummer down - that’s hardcore, friends)." - Amber Waves, Open 'Til Midnight - Open 'Til Midnight (Toronto)

"Concert Review: The Honeyrunners @ 3030"

"The music is rock, but there’s a level of soul, an attitude that permeates the music and physically affects the crowd, and one that can certainly be felt anywhere in the building. The show itself was immediately magnetic." - Emily Fox, A Music Blog, Yea? - A Music Blog, Yea? (Ontario)

Bio

The Honeyrunners have mastered the art of feel-good music – rock and roll fused with modern soul. In three years since their inception, these Toronto boys have released two EPs, a series of live session films, 200+ tour dates, radio play across North America and a string of live appearances on national television. Their shows, built on soulful harmony and a tight-knit rhythm section, have earned the band a devoted following throughout Canada and comparisons to Alabama Shakes and a modern Black Crowes. Adopted by the college crowd, The Honeyrunners are regulars at university stages, breweries and festivals across Canada. They have shared stages with U.S.S., The Balconies, King Khan, Head of the Herd and countless others. Stay tuned for 2016 tour dates and new tracks from The Honeyrunners’ upcoming debut album.
