"On the Radio"

“A rock solid blues band with an electrifying, steamy vocalist in Debra Cilingin. That’s “Hoo” they are. As for what they “Doo”, well, let’s say they are better than alcohol when it comes to “melting the ice”

Steve Alison - WPKN Bridgeport, CT - WPKN

This dual guitar band with the captivating Ms. Cilingin on vocals brings raw authentic Blues to the pinnacle of performance perfection with their treatments of traditional Blues and jazz. Combining a raw sound with a polished presentation, they work a special blend of magic on their songs and will astound you with a musical honesty that is refreshing and stimulating. Tough stuff.

Bio

The Hoodoo Band is a six piece group with their roots firmly based in traditional Blues & Jazz.

Debra Cilingin, a sultry vocalist, fronts the group in a way that excites everyone, whether it’s an old time Chicago Blues or a Jazz Ballad from the past, Debra takes you there.

Greg McCullough and Paul Gabriel are the band’s guitarists. In the course of an evening, one will hear the heart and soul of many great guitarists who have preceded them: Blues guitar the way it should be.

Dave Anastasia on bass, Pat Gregor on Keyboards and J.J. Clarke on drums round out the rhythm section of the group by solidifying the various moods that can be heard within the group’s performance.

Debra Cilingin and The Hoodoo Band makes every song they perform a real experience for the audience, all natural, no additives. They are good for everyone.
