Biography

The Horns of Happiness, now based out of Oakland and LA, is a psych/beat/rhythmic concoction drawing comparisons to the Silver Apples, The Monks, CAN, and Soft Machine. Since 2004, the band has 3 releases on Secretly Canadian Records (1 full length, 2 handmade limited edition EPs) and one 200 copy LP on sub-label St. Ives. Featuring for members of The Impossible Shapes and John WIlkes Booze, the group has shared the stage with many great acts over the years including The Silver Jews, Man Man, The Octopus Project, Old Time Relijun, Joanna Newsome, The Blow, Yacht, and Danielson Famile while touring the US extensively.
A treasure trove of pounding rhythms and repetitive organ lines not unlike New York's Oneida at their devilish best on Each One Teach One, or 20-odd years earlier when Philip Glass and Suicide brought the minimalist keyboard aesthetic to the rest of the world...but don't be mislead
