Bio
From the backstreets of Melbourne town comes the newest chapter in the Irish, Punk Rock scene. They take traditional Irish jigs and twist them to make them their own. After a few months of drinking, singing and writing, The Hornswagglers sound was beginning to emerge.
As the days drew on and the nights began to fall, the pieces of their music jigsaw puzzle were falling into place. Every song they play is something new and exciting; whether it be a Gaelic jig, with a punk feel or even some traditional punk with a bossa twist, their unique sound will always leave you wanting more.
Every member has their own traits which they bring to the band; Adrian on the skins, belts out rhythms that aren’t only moving but are memorable too. And with Kris' catchy bass lines they are one of the most unforgettable rhythm sections you will ever hear.
Kat on the fiddle, well hey diddle diddle, this girl will have you over the moon. She takes the best of Irish jigs, takes a dash of classical contour and mixes them together with a dirty punk rock feel. There’s nothing she can’t do with four strings and a bow.
Look at this irish setter, no one shreads better, Lachlan's Riffs are really unique. Girls keep a keen on eye on this one, his charm and charisma will knock you off your feet and when he plays a solo you'll be sreaming out for more.
Ever heard of Shane McGowan, Nick Cave or Ian Curtis? The Front man Mike is all of these and more. He sings and dances with all emotions set to max and takes the audience along for the ride. When he’s up on stage every one is captivated with every word sung. And man can he play a mad tin whistle.
So from County Cork to New York and all the way to Rio, The Hornswagglers are a band to be remembered.
