The House of HANIBL

The House of HANIBL is an entertainment production company which blends hip hop, dance, martial arts, and spoken word to create whole new dynamic genre. The group features a partnership between Phee D MC (lead vocalist/Chief Operating Officer) and Hyun (Executive Producer/Chief Executive Officer). Currently, Phee D MC performs with the Chicago Golden Girls, while Hyun oversees the creation of HANIBL’s groundbreaking multi-sensory experience.

Phee D MC, born and raised in Chicago, and son to a black father and Italian mother, embodies diversity. Drawn to the energy of full band performances, he has attended more rock concerts than anything else (Ministry, Living Colour, Parliament, and Radiohead to name a few). It wasn't until he was ten years old that he was introduced to hip-hop via Biz Markie, BDP, the Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J. Though his love for all music continued to grow, by his teen years, hip-hop had come to define him. Phee D MC felt early on that hip-hop had yet to project the same kind of live energy as a rock concert, and was inspired to create a new approach to music...

Hyun is a corporate attorney with a background in public accounting. He is also a former gold medalist for the United States’ “Chinese Martial Arts” Team (World Games 2008). He began his career in entertainment, performing with Disney, Wu Tang Clan, and Warner Brothers. Impressed with Phee D MC’s abilities, Hyun began to perform using his music. The response was overwhelming, so the two created the partnership of The House of HANIBL.
