Band Blues Garage Rock

My word, my word. “Badass” doesn’t cut it when attempting to describe the sheer fury with which Howll vocalist Lindsay Coleman attacks her parts. Pair that with some slick licks from guitarist Andrew Eaton and you’ve got something special going, something titanic. With raw, gutsy blues on one hand, and 70’s rock n’ roll energy on the other, The Howll demand (and deserve) your ATTENTION and respect. More than just loud blues-rock, these folks have got the chops to back it up in spades. Reunited in February of 2014 after a year’s split, the Howll have been hitting it hard with numerous shows across Ontario, and are currently writing their first full-length. - The Indie Blender

"The Howll plays the Eastside Bar and Grill Friday"

For a high-energy helping of blues-based rock, head over to Eastside Bar and Grill Friday night.

That’s when Toronto band The Howll will deliver power female vocals courtesy of frontperson Lindsay Coleman, who is joined by Doug Norman on bass, Rosie Mishaiel on drums, and Andrew Eaton on lead guitar.

Expect to hear a mix of heavy-blues rock originals and hard-hitting covers.

The Howll dropped their first self-titled EP in January 2013, celebrating with a show at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. - Lori Mastronardi

Self Titled EP - The Howll

If you are looking for unhinged heavy soul/blues based rock with a powerful female vocal, The Howll delivers! Their live performance is well known for consistent high energy passionate antics. From the absolute raw, soulful emotional abandon of Lindsay Coleman's vocal and melody lines, to the animalistic attack of drummer John Pynn, adding in the rich vintage edge cutting tones of lead guitar player Andrew Eaton, paired with the large steady thumping bass from Doug Norman; catching a set from The Howll is like time travel back to when stadium soul rock n' roll was king!

Jan 5th, 2013 saw the release of The Howll's first self-titled EP at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern with great success. Shortly after the EP release the band lost their lead guitar player and took some time off to focus on solo projects, only to then reform for their largely successful comeback show at Revival Feb 6th 2014 headlining the Missy Ink Magazine launch. Since then they have started branching out from Toronto hitting up venues across Ontario, and playing in various festivals. Be sure to visit them on their travels to reach a wider fan base, as playing live has and will always be their first love.
