"The Hundredz – Goin In"

Exclusive Interview

Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
-We are from Lancaster,Ca about 60 miles North of Los Angeles, we have been doing music for years and finally decided that we were ready to brand our names and let our music and talent shine. We started doing shows growing our fan base and recruited a music manager to help us stay a float and get us to the next level.

What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see?
-We are currently working on our latest mixtape “Top Shelf” as well as the launch of our new websited www.thehundredz.com and The most anticipated music video release of our single “Goin In” to come. Late this year we look to drop our first EP backed with another mixtape to give the people what they demand.

Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
Current challenges we deal with as any other artist is getting signed to a label, its a process we know as long as we keep feeding them material, producing hot music and growing our fan base they cant just look away.

What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
Our biggest set back so far …wow most definitely would be losing a year worth of work on our hardrive. We lost a lot of material but that just made us even more hungry to be in the studio and staying productive.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
-Artists should definitely becareful with sampling work and titling their music with false collaborations. Also producing music calling it their own tracks and selling it without the right paperwork involved .

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Just our three “P’s” rule stay Productive, stay Positive and make Progress.

What are the best ways to sell your products as an artist?
Itunes, Reverbnation, Cdbaby, and of course the streets

What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Our favorite ways of promoting would have to be reverbnation, twitter, youtube then facebook …they definitely make an impact on our fans for immediate exposure to our unknown fans - WWS Magazine

Bio

THE HUNDREDZ are accumulated up of three members Swagg, Jouce and Okktane. The group was started on March 2, 2010 and was originally just two members, Swagg and Okktane. On June 4, 2010 Jouce which at the time was a solo artist decided to join the group and was welcome with open arms. Collectively each member has been passionately devoted and creating music for over 7 years. From high school rap groups to local battles all three have been active in their community establishing a name for themselves. They each met each other at local parties amongst friends and family and loved each other’s music and decided to musically link up overtime. Within the past year they have performed at venues ranging from Hollywood, San Fernando Valley, San Bernardino Valley, Mohave Desert and all in between. The spectrum of performances also ranges from large scale events with crowds in the thousands to smaller venues at upscale clubs. THE HUNDREDZ are a very versatile and unique group to say the least. Not only do they produce, engineer, & write their own material, however they graphically design any and everything with their name on it; Thus including all merchandise, their brand website (www.thehundredz.com) and any publications involving the trio such as club flyers, etc. Every since the trio was formed, they have been diligently working in the studio producing music 24/7 to master their craft and showcase their talents globally. Each of their unique styles complements each other which make them so diverse. "Believe in what you’re doing, Don’t stop and keep going (Swagg)". “Catch us on forbes in about 4 ½ years (Jouce)”. "We are taking over the fucking world (Okktane)".
