"Talent at the Troubadour: THE HUSH with..."

"The word of the evening, ladies and gentlemen, is talent. Last night at the Troubadour, raw talent was apparent in every band that graced the tiny stage, making for an awesomely accurate portrayal of today’s local rock scene. Six groups came and went, each bringing a different and individual sound, thus creating a more than satisfying night of face-melting. With an entire glorious new year of concert-going ahead, this show set the bar for many acts to come. Bring it on, 2011."

"By the end of this night, I was exhausted. So as Satellite Thieves packed up their stuff and I started to suppress yawns, I was jolted back to life by the lively appearance and sound of THE HUSH. First things first, the lead singer, Jazmine Giovanni, is spicy...."

Led by guitarist Lee Landrum, the five-piece modern rock band employs a blend of feisty vocals backed by driving rhythms and catchy guitar riffs. Lead singer Jazmine Giovanni embodies rock 'n' roll. Her sassy stage presence and powerful pipes have seduced countless audiences and left many wanting more.

THE HUSH performed a collection of songs off its debut EP, Scene of the Crime, which is available on iTunes, as well as a killer rendition of U2’s "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me."

"Riding the Indie Music Bus: Part 1 (5 Bands YOU Need to Know)"

"In my mind I group (good) bands into two categories: Those who have the talent to make it, but sadly will probably never get the chance to, and those who have the talent and are destined to be something. Based on their songs, this five piece, female fronted band from LA would be part of the latter. Singer, Jazmine Giovanni, has a remarkable voice, while the instrumentalists of the group have crafted some killer and catchy sounds." - Jordan Buford, The Music Enthusiast

"Nicky Reviews Rock Proudly Presents THE HUSH"

"The opening track, ‘So Hollywood’, instantly had me grooving. After a powerful intro come clear, carrying vocals. The instruments pull back a little to give me the full impact of that voice, but by the chorus, the band is rocking with strong riffs and a good beat. The overall effect is… unexpected, distinctive and unique. I like the way in which the vocals and guitar work together, echoing each other, continuing each other’s themes..." - Nicky Wells

"Badass Band 28 - THE HUSH"

"Its about damn time to get another raging, chick fronted rock band up here! THE HUSH rocked my world the second I dove into listening to their seven song EP ‘Scene of the Crime’. The first song I listened to was ‘So Hollywood’ . The first thing you notice is Jazmine’s voice. The powerful pipes and the range on this chick bring two words to mind, mind blowing. If you are a regular reader, you know how hard it is for a female vocalist to win me over. Her buttery voice combined with the mellow/raging/mellow/raging combination of the melodies on their tracks won me the hell over. I went on to listen to ‘Touch and Go’, ‘When the Night Comes’, etc. to the end of the album. The album maintains its strength from start to finish. The rhythm section and guitar lines flow flawlessly into a perfect embodiment of what hard rock is, but with a uniquely entrancing twist. It just works...." - Jo, Badass Bands Blog

Bio

Original, fresh, infectious and in-charge, THE HUSH is a five piece rock band delivering powerhouse female vocals and musical artistry. Lead singer Jazmine Giovanni embodies rock & roll with her seductively commanding stage performance, thought provoking lyrics and astounding range. Their sound is bonafide hard rock yet doesn't neglect dynamics. “Our style has landed us in a unique spot,” explains Landrum, lead guitarist and founder of the band. “Full of surprises, some of our songs start out with melodic innocence then, suddenly, full-blown energy takes over.”

THE HUSH was born in 2009 and immediately were off and running, throwing themselves into writing/recording/debuting their EP, Scene of the Crime, while playing acclaimed Los Angeles venues such as The Viper Room, Troubadour, House of Blues and more. Back in the studio in 2011, THE HUSH recorded three more singles. The first, Tip of the Tongue, was released on iTunes January 2012. The second, Hold You Down, also comes with a video that was officially released April 1, 2012.

Individually the members of THE HUSH have been performing/writing/recording for years with notable artists including Gwen Stefani, KISS and Miley Cyrus. Playing with various artists throughout the Country, they have also performed on The Tonight Show, The View, Good Morning America and at Coachella and SXSW. While each member of THE HUSH stands on their own, together they are a force of nature.

Give it a minute. With more to come, THE HUSH is about to get louder.
