The Hutts

We formed in late 2008, as three friends all in seperate bands looking to create some music that we all like. Starting out playing a few accoustic shows in Universities and bars around the North West, we eventually settled on Kenn as our drummer and set to work writting and perfecting our live show.

In 2009, with a settled line up, we started gigging regularly around the North West, especially Liverpool, seeing us playing the popular venues such as the Cavern, Zanzibar, headlining the Masque (barfly),playing at the O2 academy, as well as reaching the semi-final of the Surface Unsigned Festival in Manchester.

After a successful 2009, The Hutts began 2010 with ideas of playing to larger audiences, as well as to begin the recording of the first single. This worked out as planned, as well as playing around Liverpool and the North West, we took our live show further afield, playing in London at the Hope and Anchor.
2010 also saw the higlight of our live performance, with us playing to over 1000 people supporting Ash on a leg of their summer tour.
We spent the latter part of the year busy recording, with the first single due for release in 2011.

We try to create a blend of all our music influences, bringing together genres such as classic rock and post rock, along with our roots in the modern indie scene. It has been these inflences which has helped us create a powerful and lively show.

This year we are looking to really take our music further, with the release of our first EP, and looking to try and take advantage of label interest generated in 2010!
