The Huxleys are 3 brilliant musicians who have been working together as a band for the past 7 years. They are great fun live and have performed in many different venues and situations including clubs, pubs, festivals and private functions. Together, the Huxleys' members have a clocked an impressive 50 yrs of combined gigging experience!
The Huxleys' eclectic set list encompasses a slightly off-beat selection of original songs and covers from the 50's to the 90's, with an aim to get people dancing.
They pride themselves on the authentic delivery of various styles form rockabilly to swing and country blues to classic rock including artists such as Aerosmith, Beatles, Johnny Cash, Red hot Chilli Peppers, Fleetwood Mac and Aretha Franklin.
Jess Brett (vocals &Bass) studied and later taught jazz singing, guitar and piano. Picked up bass guitar at the age 19 before coming over to UK, once in London purchased a 1960's Hofner galaxy bass, fell in love once and for all.
Al Walder (drummer) in an Australian coastal boy and surfer. He has over 10 yrs experience playing drums on the Australian south coast circuit and also plays guitar, glockenspiel and harmonica.
Neil Drummond (guitars) is an accomplished musician who also teaches guitar. He has vast experience playing in many bands both here and abroad. At age 8, he sold his bed to afford the purchase of his first electric guitar.
