The Idle Flatlands River Band

The Idle Flatlands River Band

BandRockAmericana

The Idle Flatlands River Band is a ALL ORIGINAL group of young professional musicians who pull from many great country, folk, and rock musicians to form their own brand of moving and invigorating american rock music.

Biography

Based out of the small town of Lafayette, Indiana, the Idle Flatlands River Band has been turning heads all over the state. The IFRB has been a couple of years in the making; switching drummers and adding lead guitars to the already thick waves of sound. Getting a young start, all members are between the ages of 20-21, they hope to take their voice to a regional and hopefully national/international audience. The I.F.R.B. has formed their own rock sound pulling from the musical binges of their daily lives. Influences ranging from Gram Parsons, Ray Price, and Hank Williams to the Grateful Dead, The Band, and Poco have helped the Idle Flatlands River Band come up with a mature sound for their young age.

Set List

Our typical set list changes order and momentum for each show. We usually play 9-15 originals and can play for an hour and a half easily. Either at the beginning or middle of the set the guitarist/vocal switches with the mandolin/vocal onto the drum kit.
