Bio

This crazy ride all started when the iDontCares creator and founding member, Sarah Lindberg was encouraged by her father to start playing bass guitar at the age of 14 or 15. Within the next year or two, a growing interest for electric guitar emerged when she was inspired by Aerosmith's Joe Perry. She bugged her brother relentlessly to get back one of his electric guitars he borrowed to a friend so she could start rocking. From that point on, music was her only hobby. She would lock herself in her closet to practice guitar licks for hours. Through the guitar, she realized she not only found joy in playing guitar but writing as well--she would write riffs and song ideas and then try to get them "Hannah approved" (sister), whom she always admired musically. During these formative guitar years, she had the fortunate opportunity to gain some experience playing in church alongside her family. She was also part of short-lived bands through this time. She became increasingly interested in classical guitar and would compose and learn pieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Villa-Lobos. She credits this type of guitar trade to opening her up to different sounds and ideas instead of just rock or heavy metal licks.

"Missing you" was recorded at Inland Sea recording studio in Superior, WI. It was written by Sarah in August of 2008. The song came on a whim around the time where Sarah started singing in front of other people, something she never thought about doing until her sister, Hannah encouraged her. "Hannah pushed me AND encouraged me to sing my song...She had so much confidence in me that it fueled me to keep going". Shortly thereafter, Sarah rounded up her sister Hannah (harmonies), her brother Danny (drums), and her dad (bass) to help her record her songs.

Because Sarah enjoys such a wide array of music, she decided to call her band The iDontCares, a name she dreamt of a few years back. In her dream, it was a place of freedom that symbolized an idea of casting her cares to God as well as having a carefree and open mind when it comes to music.

Sarah grew up in the small town of Superior, Wisconsin alongside her 5 other diverse brothers and sisters, 6 dogs and 2 cats. In her free time when she's not playing music, she enjoys being with her family, hanging out with friends, and playing with her cute animals.
